New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, 1975, vol.IX, No.1, p.29, Reg. No.102: C.saluene­sis x C.japonica Waiwhetu Beauty seedling which first flowered 1959. Plant habit, bushy and spreading with light green leaves, 9 cm x 4 cm. Flowers semi-double, with 12-15 petals and occasional petaloids; stamens yellow, filaments cream, 13 cm across. Flowers early to late sea­son. Originated by L.E. Jury, New Plymouth, New Zealand.
