Alternative name: Nanbeihong. Clonal
variety. Small arbor type. Large-leaf size. Medium sprouting.
It was selected individually from the
natural hybrid between the Fengqing Daye variety and Xuanen changye vaiety by
Tea Research Institute, Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1958%1965.
It was cultivated experimentally in the province of Guizhou, Sichuan,
Guangdong, GTiangxi, Hunan and Fujian since 1970.
Plant rather high. Opened-type. Leaves
horizontal, length 12.6~14.0
cm, width 5.4%5.8 cm. Oblong in shape and protruding on the surface, with
acuminate tips. Deep green in color, glossy. Average 7.7 pairs of vein. Waved
margin as well as rough and deep serrations. The sprouting period in the spring
season appears in the middle of March, and began to pluck in the first ten days
of April. Shoots stout with profuse hairs and potent tenderness-keeping ability.
The weight of 100 one bud and three leaves shoots averaged 84 g. The peak
period of flowering stage appears in the middle to the third ten days of
October. High resistance to drought and yellow mites. Rather weak
cold-hardiness.
High-yielding. According to the
productive experiments conducted in the 1981 ~ 1982, the yield of made
tea averaged 274.3 kg, and 45.7% higher than that of Meitan Taicha.
According to the analysis concucted by
the Tea Research Institute, Chinese Aca-demy of Agricultural Sciences, the
contents of caffeine in the one biid and two lea-ves shoots averaged 3.04%,amino acids 1.13%,tea polyphenols 37.72% and total
catechins 230.34 mg/g. The black tea prepared with GSCT32 variety as the raw
material is charect rized by its high and lasting aroma, fresh and fragrant
taste, reddish and strong liquor as well as the reddish and bloom infused leaf.
The green tea prepared with th;s variety shows high aroma, strong taste,
profuse hairs as well as clear and bright liquor.
Suitable to popularize in the tea region
located in the southwest part of China and the south-of-Yangzte River for the
manufacture of green tea and black tea.
Owing to the weaker cold-hardiness, it
is recommended to pay the attention on the selection of locations with the
absolute minimum temperature 6~7°C
during the process of introduction. The sufficient water and fertilizer supply
are required in the cultivation. It is recommended to plant in double-rows and
doublebushes,

【产地与分布】该品种从凤庆大叶茶与湖北宣恩长叶茶自然杂交后代中采用单株育种法育成。重庆、四川、广东、广西、湖南、福建等省有少量引种。1987年通过全国农作物品种审定委员会认定,编号GS13032-1987。
【形态特征】 植株较高大,树姿开张,分枝较密。叶片呈稍上斜状着生,椭圆形,叶色绿,富光泽,叶面微隆,叶身平,叶缘平,叶尖钝尖,叶齿浅,叶质硬。盛花期10月下旬,萼片5枚、无毛,花冠平均直径3.8cm,花瓣白色,7~8瓣,质地中,子房有茸毛,花柱3浅裂。结实性中等,种子百粒重211.5g,种径1.8cme
【特性】 2011年在贵州省茶叶研究所湄潭试验地对该品种观测,一芽二叶期为4月13日,比福鼎大白茶晚12天。芽叶生育カ较强,绿色,肥壮,葺毛多,一芽三叶百芽重平均92.5g。春茶一芽二叶蒸青样含茶多酚20.0%、氨基酸4.0%、咖啡碱3.9%、水浸出物46.6%。产量高,每667㎡平均产干茶274.3kg。适制红茶,品质优良。抗寒性较弱,抗旱、抗半跗线螨力较强。扦插繁殖成活率较高。
【适栽地区】西南红茶区。
【栽培要点】宜选择极端-6℃气温不低于地区,土层深厚肥沃的地块种植。栽培上要求较高的水肥条件。
