Ranjō (C. amplexicaulis). Japan Camellia 101, May 2014, p.5 with colour photo, JCR Regn No.2014-6 (Ser. No.19). A selected seedling of C.amplexicaulis ‘Hi Duong’, pollen parent unknown. Flower and plant similar characteristics to seed parent, but with extra petals. Stamens dispersed among the inner rows of petals, a form known as ‘Lion-formed’ (rose form) Early to mid-season flowering. Originated by Kimihide Hashimura from Nara..
