Reizanhō

Tateyama Catalogue, 1957: Leaf variegated with white spots on blue-green. Flower, red, single, small. See: Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, vol.I, 1972, pl.454 & p.360; Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.163 as ‘Reizan-hō’, pp.360, 257: Medium to small, deep red, single with 5 petals of irregular length and a centre cluster of golden stamens. Leaves genetically variegated with pale, creamy white marks, dark green, apices tapering acute, margins medium serrate. Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.208 as ‘Reizanpō’. Different readings: Reizanpō’, ‘Reizanhoh’. Originated in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
