Italian CS, Notiziario, 2008, No.1, p.8 with colour photo; A seedling of San Dimas x Kuro-tsubaki. Fully imbricated formal double, diameter 9.5 cm x 5 cm deep, 107 petals, rounded, incurved and smooth, margins slightly serrated. Colour red (RHS.CC.185A to 185B), some petals with a white central stripe more evident at the margin. Leaves 11.5 cm x 4.7 cm, lanceolate, apex acuminate, margin serrulate (more at the apex), Upper surface RHS.CC.139A, lower RHS.CC.146A. Upright growth. First flowered in 2002. Originated by Osvaldo Buosi, Treviso, Italy.
