SCCS., 1951, The Camellia. Its Culture and Nomenclature: Deep flame red with dark purple edge, semi-double, 10 cm across x 3.8 cm deep. Petals stiffly semi-erect, pointed orbicular and deeply notched at the apex. Filaments light yellow, anthers dark yellow. Leaves dark green, elliptic, 8 cm x 4 cm, tapered base, thick, short apex, wide, medium serrations, raised venation. Originated in USA by Camellia Nurseries, Tallahassee, Florida. Sport: Storm Variegated.
