Later in his 1948-1949 catalogue it is described as: Medium sized semi-double, spectrum red, without veining; petals small and loosely arranged, with central area of some petals upturned and an occasional petal mottled white. Stamens interspersed with petaloids. Early blooming. Originated in USA.
