Chinka Zufu, (before 1700), Watanabe, 1969, pl.198: Light pink, fading to white at petal edge, medium size, single, embrac­ing cup-shaped with a central stamen column, yellow anthers, white filaments. Different read­ing: ‘Usugaki-hiroshima’. Orthographic error: ‘Usuiro-hiroshima’. See: Kyōto Engei Kurabu, 1963, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.4, p.111. Originated in Japan. (Believed extinct.)
