[Variety origin] Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences selected from 'Fuding Dahaocha' natural hybrid progeny by single-plant breeding method.  [Characteristics and features] shrub type, special early species, tree posture open, middle leaf class, leaf length 7.9 cm, width 3.0 cm, narrow oval, leaf bearing attitude upward; new buds and leaves yellow-green, buds velvet less, a bud two leaves 4.6 cm long, a bud two hundred buds weight 18.1 g. The bud two leaves biochemical sample in the spring, a bud two hundred buds weight 18.1 grams. The biochemical sample of one bud and two leaves in spring contains 24.4% of tea polyphenols, 3.9% of amino acids, 3.3% of caffeine, and 39.2% of water leachate. Suitable for green tea and black tea. Green tea, fresh aroma, fragrance; black tea, sweet and fresh with floral flavor. The first growth cycle of spring, summer and fall mu yield of one bud and two leaves of 361 kg of fresh leaves, than the control 'Fuding Dahaocha' 92% increase in yield; the second growth cycle of spring, summer and fall mu yield of one bud and two leaves of 514 kg of fresh leaves, than the control 'Fuding Dahaocha' 49% increase in yield. It is resistant to tea half tarsus butterfly, susceptible to tea leafhopper, susceptible to tea cloudy leaf blight, and drought resistant. [Suitable for planting area and cultivation technology points] Suitable for planting in Chongqing tea area in the fall or spring when there is enough rainfall. Choose deep, loose and fertile soil, good aeration and drainage, pH 4.5-6.0 sandy loam. Because the germination period is particularly early, early spring germination fertilizer should be early to the end of January to early February, batches of timely tender picking, spring need to prevent the harm of inverted spring cold.

渝茶4号 (Camellia sinensis ‘Yucha 4’). 陈亮等. 2024.《中国茶树品种资源志（上卷）茶树登记品种》第536-537页：【申请者】重庆市农业科学院。【育种者】重庆市农业科学院；侯渝嘉；李中林；徐泽；彭萍；唐敏；胡翔；邓敏；邬秀宏；翟秀明；黄尚俊。【品种编号】非主要农作物品种登记号：GPD茶树（2020)500005。原重庆市农作物品种审定委员会鉴定编号：偷品审鉴2017015。【品种来源】重庆市农业科学院从‘福鼎大白茶’自然杂交后代中采用单株育种法选育而成。【特征特性】灌木型，特早生种，树姿开张，中叶类，叶片长度7.9厘米，宽度3.0厘米，窄椭圆形，叶片着生姿态向上；新梢芽叶黄绿，芽茸少，一芽二叶长4.6厘米，一芽二叶百芽重18.1克。春季一芽二叶生化样含茶多酚24.4%，氨基酸3.9%，咖啡碱3.3%，水浸出物39.2%。适制绿茶和红茶。制绿茶，香气清鲜，香显；制红茶，较甜鲜有花香。第一生长周期春夏秋季亩产一芽二叶鲜叶361千克，比对照‘福鼎大白茶’增产92%；第二生长周期春夏秋季亩产一芽二叶鲜叶514千克，比对照‘福鼎大白茶’增产49%。中抗茶半跗线蝶，感茶小绿叶蝉，感茶云纹叶枯病，抗旱性强。【适宜种植区域及栽培技术要点】适宜在重庆茶区的秋季或春季雨水充足时种植。选择土层深厚、疏松肥沃、通气和排水良好、pH值4.5-6.0的砂壤土。因发芽期特早，早春催芽肥应提早到1月底至2月初，分批及时嫩采，春梢需预防倒春寒危害。
