C. albata Orel & Curry possesses sessile, solitary or geminate, strictly terminal,  soft, white, translucent, slightly scented flowers, 6.0-7.5 cm diam.; bracteoles 3,  glabrous, triangular, woody; perules 7-8, thin, woody, undifferentiated, finely  tomentose on outer surfaces, glabrous inside; petals 7-8 (3+4 (-5)), in 2 whorls; outer  filaments thin, glabrous, basally joined; inner filaments thick, wide and free to the base;  styles 3, 4 or 5, partially tomentose, free to the base; ovary cylindrical, whitely  tomentose; mature fruit capsules glabrous, scabrous, pitted, unevenly globose, 3.0 cm  long, 5.0 cm wide. 

This name is a synonym of Camellia furfuracea var. furfuracea

花无梗，单生，严格顶生，柔软，白色，半透明，稍有香味的花，6.0-7.5厘米直径。 小苞片 3，无毛，三角形，木质；小苞片 7-8，薄，木质，未分化，外部被细绒毛，内部无毛；花瓣 7-8 (3+4 (-5))，2 轮；外花丝薄，无毛，基部连接； 内花丝粗，宽，离生至基部；花柱 3、4 或 5，部分被绒毛，离生至基部；子房圆柱形，被白色绒毛；成熟果蒴果无毛，粗糙，有凹坑，呈不均匀球状，长 3.0 厘米，宽 5.0 厘米。 0 厘米长，5.0 厘米宽。
