Flowers are shades of red,5.5-6.5 cm in diameter, borne at the tip of twigs and in leaf axils. Perules 8-9, outside pubescent. Petals 6-7,3.0-4.5 cm long, broadly obovate, tip rounded to slightly emarginate, slightly united at the base with the staminal column. Androecium glabrous, 2.5 cm long, outer layer fused from the base into a tube 7-8 mm long. Gynoecium2.0-2.3 cm in length, 3 styles slightly divided at the tip, ovary tomentose. Blooming season: early spring.Capsules subglobose, 1.8-2.2 cm in diameter, 3 locules, pericarp wall 2-3 mm in thickness.Leaves ovate-elliptic, tip slightly acuminate, base orbicular, 6.0-10.0 cm long, 3.0-5.0 cm wide, margin bluntly serrulate, upper surface with lateral veins and midrib slightly sunken, lower surface with lateral veins and midrib slightly raised, glabrous.
