Pedicelsthick and short, bracts 2, sepals pilose, petals broadly obovate, stamens free, ovariesglabrous.

Flowers are white, 2.5-3.2 cm in diameter, borne at the tips of shoots and in leaf axils; bud set may be abundant. Pedicels 4 mm long, stout, hirsute. Bracts 2, fine hairs on margins. Sepals 5, pubescent with fine hairs on margins. Petals 5-6,1.2-2.0 cm long and 1.0-1.8 cm wide, broadly ovate, curled inwardly, white-pubescent on back, fused from the base with the staminal column up to 3 mm. Androecium glabrous, 1.6-1.8 cm long, outer filaments slightly fused at the base into a column. Gynoecium 1.6-2.0 cm long, 3 styles, deeply cleft from the tip, ovary glabrous.
