Perules 8-9, outer surface with silky. Petals 7-8, 4.0-6.0 cm long, 3.0-4.0 cm wide, obovate, tip emarginate, united from the base with the staminal column up to 6-7 mm. Androecium glabrous, 2.0-3.0 cm long, outer filaments fused from the base into a tube 10 mm long. Gynoecium glabrous, 1.5-2.0 cm long, 3 styles slightly divided at the tip, ovary glabrous. Blooming season: spring.Capsules globose, usually 6.0-8.0 cm, but sometimes 15.0 cm in diameter, 3 locules, pericarp wall 10-15 mm in thickness. Seeds glabrous.Leaves oblong or long-elliptic, tip long-acuminate, base cuneate, 9.0-14.0 cm long,3.5-6.0 cm wide, margin sparsely and sharply serrulate, teeth spaced 3-7 mm apart, thick coriaceous, upper surface with lateral veins slightly raised, lower surface with midrib slightly raised, glabrous.
