Flowers are white, light green at the base, 1.5-2.0 cm in diameter, mostly borne in leaf axils. Pedicels 2-3 mm long, glabrous. Bracts 2, early deciduous. Sepals 5, persistent, glabrous. Petals 5-6, 1.0-1.5 cm long, broad obovate, slightly creped at the edge, rounded at the tip, slightly united at the base with the staminal column. Androecium glabrous, 8-10 mm long, outer filaments fused at the base to form a short tube. Gynoecium about 8 mm long, 3 styles deeply cleft at the tip, ovary glabrous. Blooming season: autumn to early winter. Capsules globose, 2.0 cm in diameter, 3 locules, pericarp wall 3-4 mm thick. Seeds glabrous. Leaves oblong, tip obtuse, base cuneate, 6.0-9.0 cm long, 2.5-3.0 cm wide, margin thinly serrulate on the upper portion of the blade, margin smooth on lower section of the blade, upper surface with lateral veins slightly impressed, glabrous, lower surface mostly smooth. Petioles 4-6 mm long, glabrous. Shrub about 1 m tall, young shoots glabrous, older branches smooth and gray-brown in color. Distribution: Southeastern Guizhou Province; Elevation: 800-1,200 m; Specific locality: Longquan, Danzhai County, Guizhou Province, China.

高继银、帕克斯、杜跃强，2005. 《山茶属植物主要原种彩色图集》浙江科学技术出版社，第157页。花白色，花瓣基部呈淡绿色，花径1.5~2.0厘米，多腋生。花柄长2〜3毫米，无毛。苞片2枚，早落，萼片5枚，宿存，无毛。花瓣5~6枚，长厘米，阔倒卵形，边缘略起皱，先端圆，基部与雄蕊柱略连生形成短管。雄蕊无毛，长8~10毫米，外轮花丝基部连生。雌蕊长约8毫米，花柱先端3深裂，子房无毛。花期秋季至冬初。蒴果球形，直径约2.0厘米，3室，果皮厚3~4毫米。种子无毛。叶长圆形，先端钝尖，基部楔形，长6.0~9.0厘米，宽2.5~3.0厘米，边缘上半部具细齿，下半部无齿，叶面侧脉略下陷，无毛，叶背光滑。叶柄长4~6毫米，无毛。灌木，高约1米，嫩技无毛，老枝光滑，灰褐色。分布：贵州省东南部，海拔800- 1200米。可寻地点: 贵州省丹寨县龙泉。
