C. erubescens Orel & Curry possesses pedunculate, solitary, axillary, mid to dark yellow flowers with a pink blush, 5.0-6.0 cm diam.; peduncles nodding, glabrous, with 6-10 bracteoles; bracts 4, glabrous, opposite; sepaloids 5, multicoloured, in 2 whorls; petals 5-6, in 2 whorls, rigid, waxy, glabrous; stamens numerous; styles 3, free to the base, glabrous, slightly undulate; ovary glabrous, cylindrical to bulbous, with 3 or 4 chambers.

花具梗，单生，腋生，中到深黄色的花，有粉红色的胭脂，直径 5.0-6.0 厘米；花序梗有节，无毛，有 6-10 个小苞片；苞片 4，无毛，对生；萼片 5，多色，分 2 轮；花瓣 5。 花序梗有节，无毛，有 6-10 个小苞片；苞片 4，无毛，对生；萼片 5，多色，2 轮；花瓣 5-6 片，2 轮，硬质，蜡质，无毛；雄蕊多数；花柱 3，离生至基部，无毛，稍波状；子房无毛，圆柱形至球形，有 3 或 4 个室。
