Flowers white, slightly fragrant,2.0-3.0 cm in diameter, borne singly or in multiples at the tip of the shoots and in leaf axils; bud set usually heavy. Pedicels 7-10 mm long, glabrous. Bracts 4-5, persistent, some pubescence on outer surface. Sepals 5, persistent, glabrous or some pubescence on outer surface. Petals 5-6, 1.7-2.4 cm long, 1.4-1.7 cm wide, obovate, tip rounded or cleft up to 1 mm, fused with the staminal column 3-5mm from the base. Androecium glabrous, 1.5-2.0 cm long, outer layer fused from the base into a cup up to 8 mm long, about 50 stamens.
