Sunyatseni, monogr. ser. 1: 26. 1981. [Description] Shrub 2 m tall; branchlets glabrous, silvery-white in
the dry state, shiny, old branchesash-brown. Leaves coriaceous, oblong-lanceolate,
6.5-8 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, apices acuminate, bases slightly rounded or obtuse;
dark green above in the dry state, shiny, glabrous; dark brown below, glabrous,
somewhat muricate; lateral veins 6-7 pairs, equally conspicuous above and below;
margins entire; petioles 7-10 cm long glabrous. Flowers not seen. Capsules globose
or slightly compressed, 2.5-3. 4 cm wide, 2-2. 5 cmhigh, 3-locular, 1-2 seeds
per locule，3-valvate dehiscent, valves 2-2. 5 mm thick,
extremely furfuraceous; columella tricornate, with narrow wings, 2-2. 5 cm long;
seedssemi-orbicular, brown. This species is the only one in section Furfuracea
with entire leaves, in addition theleaf bases are subortundate and the petioles
are rather long. From these characters thisspecies can be differentiated from
the other species in the section.

(模式标本 Typus in Univ. Sunyatsen)。【形态特征】这个种是糙果茶组里唯一的具全缘叶片的种类，加上叶片基部近圆形，并有较长的叶柄，足以和其他种类区别开。
