Leaves coriaceous, lanceolate, 4-5 cm long, 1-1.3 cmwide, apices caudate-acuminate, bases cuneate or subrounded; dark-green above in thedry state, shiny, midveins puberulent or glabrous; light-green below, glabrous; lateralveins 7-8 pairs, obscure on both surfaces; margins serrulate, teeth separation 1-2 mm; petioles 2-3 mm long, pubescent. Flowers 1-2 in the terminal leaf axils, white, pedicelsshort; bracts 3, on the pedicel base, ovate, pubescent; sepals 5, lanceolate or oblong, 3mm long, 1. 5 cm wide, basally connate, apices subacute or obtuse, exterior pubescent; petals 6, outer 2 ovate, 6-8 mm long, 4-6 mm wide, exterior pubescent, inner 4 oblong, 1-1.2 cm long, 2-3 cm wide, bases connate for ca. 2 mm, exterior sericeous-puberulent; stamens 1 cm long, basal half of outer filament whorl connate into a short tube, glabrous, upper half of filament whorl free, pubescent; ovaries glabrous; styles 1 cmlong, apices shallowly 3-cleft.

Flowers are white, fragrant, 1.5-2.0 cm in diameter, borne at the tips of shoots and in leaf axils; bud set may be abundant. Pedicels 2-3 mm long. Bracts 3, pubescent. Sepals 5, lanceolate in shape, outer surface pubescent. Petals 6,1.0-1.4 cm long, 0.6-1.0 cm wide, ovate, outside pubescent, united from the base with the staminal column up to 3 mm. Androecium 10-12 mm long, outer filaments united from the base to form a tube. Gynoecium about 1 cm long, 3 styles shallowly divided at the top, ovary glabrous. Sunpatsen) 。【形态特征】灌木，嫩枝有短柔毛。叶革质，披针形，长4-5厘米，宽1-1.3厘米，先端尾状渐尖，基部钝或略圆，上面干后深绿色，发亮，中脉有短柔毛或变秃，下面浅绿色，无毛，侧脉7-8对，在上下两面均不明显，边缘有细纯齿，齿刻相隔1-2毫米，叶柄长2-3毫米，有柔毛。花1-2朵生于枝顶叶腋，白色，花梗极短；苞片3片，位于花梗基部，卵形，被毛；萼片5片，披针形或长圆形，长3毫米，宽1.5毫米，基部离生，先端略尖或钝，背面有柔毛。花瓣6片，最外2片卵形，长6-8毫米，宽4-6毫米，背有毛，内侧4片长圆形，长1-1.2厘米，宽2-3毫米，基部连生约2毫米，背面有短绢毛。雄蕊长1厘米，外轮花丝下半部连生成短管，无毛，上半部花丝分离，有柔毛。子房无毛，花柱长1厘米，先端3浅裂。

高继银、帕克斯、杜跃强，2005. 《山茶属植物主要原种彩色图集》浙江科学技术出版社，第245页。花白色，芳香，花径1.5~2.0厘米，顶生或腋生，花芽密。花柄长2~3毫米。苞片3枚，被短柔毛。萼片5枚，披针形，表面被短柔毛。花瓣6枚，长4厘米，宽0.6~1.0厘米，卵圆形，表面被绢毛，基部与雄蕊柱连生3毫米。雄蕊长10~12毫米，外轮花丝基部连生形成短管。雌蕊长约1厘米，花柱先端3浅裂，子房无毛。花期晚秋至冬初。叶长圆披针形，先端尾状渐尖，基部钝圆形，长4.0~5.0厘米，宽1.0~1.2厘米，边缘具钝齿，两面光滑，无毛。叶柄长2~3毫米，上面被柔毛。灌木，高可达2米，嫩枝被短柔毛，枝条稠密，老枝灰色。分布：广西壮族自治区南宁市北部的武鸣县，海拔 400-1000米。可寻地点:广西壮族自治区武鸣县大明山。
