海宁山茶 Camellia ninhii V.D.Luong & LeCamellia ninhii

Camellia ninhii Luong & Le  Section: Corallinae, Proceedings of Dali International Camellia Congress Dali-Yunnan-China,2016 February 20–26 (76–78), TYPE: Vietnam. Lam Dong Province: Cat Tien, evergreen broad leavedforest, at altitudes of 500-600 m, 10/10/2015, Luong Van Dung, Tran Trong Hung, Le Nguyet Hai Ninh,DL.15.10.01 (Holotype, DLU, HN; Isotype, DLU).

The specimen was first discovered by Luong Van Dung, Tran Trong Hung, Le Nguyet Hai Ninh in 2015 in Dong Nai Thuong commune, Cat Tien district, Lam Dong province. In 2016, Luong Van Dung and Le Nguyet Hai Ninh introduced it at the International Camellia Congress in Dali, Yunnan, China, then the species was published in the International Camellia Journal No. 48 (2016) with the scientific name Camellia ninhii. The Vietnamese name is Tra Ninh, named after the scientist Tran Ninh, who published many new species of Camellia.

Camellia ninhii share some characteristics with Camellia species that belong to section Corallina Sealy. For examples, Camellia ninhii and Camellia leuryi all have very short pedicel with undifferented bracts and sepals, androecium glabrous, styles 3, free, glabrous, wall of capsule furfuraceous. However, Camellia ninhii is well distinguished from Camellia leuryi by larger leaves, young branches pubescent, ovary pubescent (Camellia leuryi has leaves only 7-11 cm. long, young branches glabrous, ovary glabrous).

该标本由 Luong Van Dung、Tran Trong Hung、Le Nguyet Hai Ninh 于 2015 年在林同省 Cat Tien 县 Dong Nai Thuong 乡首次发现。2016 年，Luong Van Dung 和 Le Nguyet Hai Ninh 在中国云南大理召开的国际茶花大会上介绍了该品种，随后该品种以学名 Camellia ninhii 发表在《国际山茶会志》第 48 期（2016 年）上。越南语名称为 Tra Ninh，以科学家 Tran Ninh 的名字命名，他为科学界发表了许多茶花新品种。
