monogr. ser. 1:90. 1981. [Description] Tree 15 m tall, trunk diameter 20 cm, branchlets pubescent. Leavescoriaceous,
ovate-elliptic, 4-5. 5 cm long, 1. 7-2. 3 cm wide; apices acuminate, tip
cuneate; bases cuneate orsubrotundate; shiny above, midveins with remnants of
pubescence above; glabrousbelow; lateral veins 5-6 pairs, obscure; margins-serrate;
petioles 4-5 mm long, pubescent. Flowers terminal, white, s5, triangular-ovate,
2-4 mm long, glabrous; sepals 5, broadly ovate. 6-8 mm long, extreme apex
slightly pubescent, margins membranous; petals 5, obovate, 1.7-2 cm long, basally
connate; stamens 25, 1series, 1. 2-1.5 cm long, bases slight connate; ovaries
glabrous, 3-locular; styles 3-parted, 1. 5 cm long, basally connate for 5 mm.

五数离蕊茶Camellia pentamera Chang, sp. nov. 张宏达,1981. 《山茶属植物的系统研究》第90页。【标本】云南:文山,老君山,腰店林场后山,海拔2450米,山脊斜坡,冯国楣22535 (模式Typus in Bot. Inst. Kunming)。【形态特征】乔木,高15米,胸径20厘米,嫩枝有毛。叶革质,卵状椭圆形,长4-5.5厘米,宽1.7-2.3厘米,先端渐尖,尖头钝,基部钝或近于圆形,上面无光泽,中脉上有残毛,下面无毛,侧脉5-6对,很不明显,边缘有锯齿,叶柄长4-5毫米,有毛,花单生于枝顶,自色,近无柄,苞片5,三角卵形,长2-4毫米,无毛,萼片5,阔
卵形,长6-8毫米,顶端略有毛,边缘干膜质;花瓣5,倒卵形,长1.7-2厘米,基 部连生;雄蕊25,1轮,长1.2-1.5厘米,基部略连生;子房无毛,3室,花柱3条,长1.5厘米,基部5毫米相连合。
