[Description] Branchlets pubescent. Leaves narrowly oblong, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, both endsattenuate, apices not sharply acute, margins not sharply serrated. Flowers are white to rose-pink, 4.0-8.7 cm in diameter, borne at the tips of shoots and in leaf axils; bud set often abundant. Perules 7-9, initially persistent, glabrous or pubescent.Petals 6-7,2.8-5.3 cm long, 1.5-3.6 cm wide, oval to obo-vate in shape, cleft at tip up to 3 mm, fused with the stami-nal column up to 12 mm from the base. Androecium glabrous, 1.2-3.0cm long, outer layer of stamens fused into a cup 1.0-2.0 cm long. Gynoecium 1.4-2.5 cm long, 3 mostly glabrous styles with basal pubescence, mostly fused, ovary tomentose. Blooming season: late autumn to spring. Capsules subglobose, 2.5 cm in diameter, 3 locules, pericarp wall 2 mm thick. Leaves oblong to elliptic, tip acute to acuminate, base cuneate to rounded, 2.5-5.5 cm long, 1.2-2.5 cm wide, margin closely serrulate, upper surface with midrib and veins impressed, glabrous, lower surface with veins raised, slightly villous, with villous midrib. Petiole 4-7 mm long, glabrous or pubescent. Shrub or small tree up to 6 m tall, young shoots pubescent, older branches smooth and gray in color. Distribution: Central and western Yunnan Province and southern Sichuan Province; Elevation: 1,000-3,000 m; Specific locality: Jizushan, Jizushan Town, Binchuan County, Yunnan Province,China.

高继银、帕克斯、杜跃强，2005. 《山茶属植物主要原种彩色图集》浙江科学技术出版社，第71-72页。花白色至玫瑰粉红色，花径4.0~8.7厘米，顶生或腋生，花芽较多。鱗片7~9 枚，半宿存，无毛或略被柔毛。花瓣6~7枚，长2.8~5.3厘米，宽1.5~3.6厘米，卵形至倒卵形，先端凹缺3毫米，基部与雄蕊柱连生12毫米。雄蕊无毛，长1.2~3.0厘米，外轮花丝基部连生形成1.0~2.0厘米长短管。雌蕊长1.4~2.5厘米，花柱上部无毛，基部有毛，先端3浅裂，子房被绒毛。花期秋末至春季。蒴果近球形，直径2.5厘米,3室，果皮厚2毫米。叶长圆形至椭圆形，先端急尖或渐尖，基部楔形至圆形，长2.5~5.5 厘米，宽 1.2~2.5 厘米，边缘具密齿，叶面中脉和侧脉凹陷，禾毛，叶背网脉凸起，略被长柔毛，中脉有长柔毛。叶柄长4~7毫米，无毛或有短柔毛。灌木或小乔木，高可达6米，嫩枝被短柔毛，老枝光滑，灰色。分布：云南省的西中部罕四川省的南部，海拔1000-3000米。可寻地点:云南省宾川县鸡足山镇鸡足山。
