Leaves membranous, elliptic or ovate-oblong, 8-10.5 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, apices narrowly caudate-acuminate with a 1-1. 5 cm long cauda, bases broadly cuneate or obtuse; brownish-green above in the dry state, not shiny, midveins puberulent; gray below, pilose along the midvein, surface somewhat tuber-culate; lateral veins 7-8 pairs, conspicuous above or slightly impressed, slightlyprotruding below; margins densely serrulate, teeth separation i-1. 5 mm; petioles 3-5mm long, pubescent. Flowers 3 terminal or 1 axillary; pedicels 3-4 mm long, withgreyish pubescence; bracts 5, semiorbicular or orbicular, 1-1. 5 mm long, greyishpubescent; sepals5, bases slightly connate, orbicular, 2.5-3 mm long, brown pubescent; petals 5, outer two broadly ovate, exteriors greyish pubescent, inner 3 obovate, exteriors pubescent, bases slightly connate; stamens shorter than the petals, basesslightly adnate with the petals, outer filament whorl connate into a tube for 2/3 the fila-ment length, free filaments short, glabrous; ovaries glabrous; styles shorter than thestamens, glabrous, apices shallowly 3-cleft.

Flowers are white or reddish on the tips at first, fragrant, 2.0-3.0 cm in diameter, borne at the tips of shoots and in leaf axils; bud set may be abundant. Pedicels 3-4 mm long, grey-pubescent. Bracts 5, pubescent. Sepals 5, pubescent. Petals 5,1.3-1.8 cm long, broadly ovate to obovate, pubescent on back, slightly fused with the staminal column at the base. Androecium about 1.5 cm long, outer filaments fused to form a short tube at the base. Gynoecium 1.2-1.4 cm long, 3 styles shallowly cleft at the tip, ovary glabrous. Blooming season: late autumn to early winter. Capsule globose, 1.0-1.4 cm in diameter, 1 locule with 1 seed. Leaves elliptic to oblong-elliptic in shape, tip long-caudate, base cuneate, 8.0-10.0 cm long, 3.0-4.0 cm wide, margin thinly serrulate, membranous-coriaceous, upper surface with midrib slightly impressed, lower surface with midrib slightly raised. Petioles 3-4 mm long. Shrub up to 3 m tall, young shoots pubescent, twigs slender and dense, older branches brown in color. Distribution: Yongning County in southern Guangxi; Elevation: 250-500 m; Specific locality: Nanzhou Forest Farm, Yongning County, Guangxi, China.

Sunyatsen)。【形态特征】灌木，嫩枝有短柔毛。叶膜质，椭圆形或倒卵状长圆形，长8-10.5厘米，宽3-4厘米,先端收窄而尾状长尖，尾长1-1.5厘米，基部阔楔形或饨，上面干后褐绿色，无光泽，中脉有短柔毛，下面灰色，沿中脉有长丝毛，表面多小瘤状突起，侧脉7-8对，在上面能见或稍陷下，在下面稍突起，边缘密生相隔1-1.5毫米的细锯齿，叶柄长3-5毫米，有毛，花3朵顶生，或腋生单花，花梗长3-4毫米，有灰色柔毛；苞片5片，半圆形至圆形，长1-1.5毫米，有灰柔毛；萼片5片，基部微连合，圆形，长2.5-3毫米，被灰毛，花瓣5片，外侧2片广卵形，背面有灰毛，内侧3片倒卵形，背有毛，基部略相连。雄蕊比花瓣短，基部略与花瓣相连合，外轮花丝连合成管，长为花丝的2/3，游离花丝短，无毛。子房无毛，花柱比雄蕊短，无毛，先端3浅裂。

高继银、帕克斯、杜跃强，2005. 《山茶属植物主要原种彩色图集》浙江科学技术出版社，第266页。花白色，初开放花瓣先端略带红色，芳香，花径2.0~3.0厘米，多花顶生或腋生，花芽多。花柄长3~4毫米，被灰色柔毛。苞片5枚，被柔毛。萼片5枚，被柔毛。花瓣5枚，长1.3~1.8厘米，阔卵形至倒卵形，背面有毛，基部与雄蕊柱略连生。雄蕊长约1.5厘米，外轮花丝基部连生形成短管。雌蕊长1.2-1.4厘米，花柱先端3浅裂，子房无毛。花期秋末至冬初。蒴果球形，直径1.0~1.4厘米，1室，每果1粒种子。 叶椭圆形至长圆状椭圆形，先端长尾尖，基部楔形，长8.0~10.0厘米，宽3.0~4.0厘米，边缘具细齿，膜革质，叶面中脉略凹陷，叶背中脉略凸起。叶柄长3~ 4毫米。 灌木，高可达3米，嫩枝被柔毛，枝条稠密，老枝褐色。分布：广西壮族自治区南部的邕宁县，海拔250-500 米。可寻地点:广西壮族自治区邕宁县南洲林场。
