Nagoya Camellia Society Bulletin, 1992, No.25, p.15, colour photo p.54: A seedling of C.x vernalis Umegaka x Wabisuke Shibori-seiōbo. Originated by Kōji Funakoshi, Nagoya, Japan. A small, 6-7 cm wide, single, cup-shaped flower with pure white petals and sasanqua-like, yellow stamens. Thick japonica-like petals and smooth, glossy leaves. Fragrant. Mid-season blooming and vigorous, upright habit. Named after the Amida-ji Temple.
