Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, vol.I, 1972 p.62, pl.77, description, p.302: A white, single campanulate to cupped flower with 5-6 large, waved petals and a splayed centre of about 125 stamens, filaments milk white, Flower reaching about 10 cm across. Blooms early to late. Leaves, dark green, long-elliptic, thick, dull surface. Discovered in Sufu’e Machi, Nakajima Sub-prefecture, Aichi Prefecture Japan, by Satō and named by him.

講談社 1975年 《現代椿集》 P.302. 中部産「花」白色、一重、大筒咲き、大輪、10~4月 「葉」濃緑色、長楕円形、厚葉 「樹」立性、伸長特に良い。円錐家の樹形。「来歴」本種は1957年、愛知県中島郡祖父江町において、この名花の古木を筆者が発見、命名 文/佐藤
