Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.279. colour photo and description: Medium size, soft pink with red splashes, campan­ulate single with 6 petals, and a central stamen cylinder with white filaments, joined for the lower third, and yellow anthers. Blooms early to mid-season. Leaves deep green, broad-elliptic, apices abrupt acute, margins shallowly to obscurely serrate. Originated in the Chūbu District, Japan. A seedling of Tatsuta-nishiki.
