Danya Roufen

Danya Roufen (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiangri Guangchang'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.339. HAR-14-13., a cross seedling (DGC-No.34) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiangri Guangchang'. Flowers pink to orange red, single form, medium size, 8.5-9.5cm across with 7-8 petals, petals flat, thick texture, stamens slightly united at the base, bloom dense. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, urgently cuneate at the base, margins smooth. Plant spread, bushy and growth normal. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Quietly Eegant & Soft Pink”.
