Feihou Erxi

Feihou Erxi (C. azalea × Higo 'Okan'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.94. HA-44-2., a cross seedling (DFH-No.3) of C. azalea × Higo 'Okan'. Flowers red to dark red, single form, medium to large size, 9.0-11.7cm across with 6-7 broad obovate petals, petals thick, stamens radialized, base united, filaments pink, anthers yellow, flowers fall whole. Leaves dark green, broad elliptic, thick leathery, the upper edges shallow serrated and the lower edges smooth. Plant upright, branches dense and growth vigorous. Blooms fully in summer and autumn and sporadically in winter and spring. The cultivar name means “Higo's Second Pleasure”.

肥后二喜 Camellia ‘Feihou Erxi’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第94页。 HA-44-2.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶×肥后茶品种'王冠’，杂交苗编号：DFH-No.3。花朵红色至黑红色，单瓣型，中型至大型花，花径9.0-11.7cm，花瓣6-7枚，质地厚，阔倒卵形，长5.0cm，宽4.5cm，上部瓣面略皱褶，雄蕊呈辐射状，基部连生，花丝粉红色，花药黄色，花朵整朵掉落。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质，阔椭圆形，长9.3cm,宽4.5cm,上部边缘具浅齿，下部边缘光滑。植株立性，枝条稠密，生长旺盛。夏、秋季盛花，冬、春季零星开花。
