Fenjiao Zuiqiu

Fenjiao Zuiqiu (C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'). HA-10-15., a crossseedling (DDA-No.21) of C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'. Flower buds always are candle shaped when they justopen. Flowers pink to pale peach red, occasionally with a fuzzy white patch,single form, medium size, 8.5-9.5cm across with 8-9 petals, deep red veinsvisible, petals spoon-shaped, stamens united at the base, filaments nearlywhite, flowers fall whole, bloom dense. Leaves dark green, heavy leathery, longelliptic, margins sharply serrate. Plant spread, branches soft and slightlyhanging down, and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late- summer, fullyblooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivarname means “Pink Girls Making Autumn Intoxicate”.

粉娇醉秋 Camellia ‘Fenjiao Zuiqiu’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第45页。 HA-10-15.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶 x 红山茶品种‘达婷 ’，杂交苗编号：DDA-No.21。花朵初开放时多呈蜡烛状，粉红色至淡桃红色，偶有花瓣顶部出现模糊白斑，单瓣型，中型花，花径8.5-9.5cm，花瓣8-9枚，瓣面可见深红色脉纹，花瓣呈勺状，雄蕊基部连生，呈短管状，花丝近白色，花朵整朵掉落，开花稠密。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，厚革质，长椭圆形，长9.6-10.0cm，宽3.8-4.2cm,边缘具尖齿。植株开张，枝条软，略下垂，生长旺盛。夏末始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
