Frankie Winn Variegated (C. japonica), ACS, Reg. No.2535.  American Camellia Yearbook, 2000, p3, colour photo p.c9. This 22-year-old chance C. japonica : seedling first bloomed in 1978. The variegated form was originated by William Sutton, Savannah,GA and was propagated by Gene's Nursery, Savannah,GA. Bloom: The pastel pink variegated white peony flower has golden anthers and cream filaments with 51 petals and 12 peraloids. Perals show a special fluorescence or sheen with medium rexture. Blooms measure 12.7 x 5.1 cm untreated and 15  x 6.4 cm treated and are long lasting. Plants: Upright with average growth blooming profusely mid-season to late. Leaf: Dark green leaves are 7 x 5.1 cm.
