ACS, Aug. 1995, The Camellia Journal, vol.50, No.3, p.37, Reg. No.2350: Medium size, deep rose semi-double, C.japonica chance seedling. Late blooming. Originated in USA by Dr Charles E. Minarik, West Harich, Maryland. ACS, 1995, American Camellia Yearbook, p.5 with colour photo: The 10 year old seedling first flowered 1988. Average flower size is 8 cm across x 5 cm deep with 20 petals and 5 petaloids. Very cold hardy. Plant growth is upright, dense and average in rate with dark green leaves 8 cm long x 5 cm wide.
