ACS, Aug. 1992, The Camellia Journal, vol.48, No.3, p.30, Reg. No.2265: Originated by Robert Ehrhart, Walnut Creek California USA. A 10 year old C.japonica chance seedling that first flowered 1989. Large size, bright rose red, anemone form that blooms mid-season. Average bloom size is 12.5 cm across x 2.5 cm deep with 20 petals and 30-35 petaloids. Plant growth is upright and vigorous with dark green leaves 11 cm long x 5.5 cm wide. See colour photo between pp.40-41, American Camellia Yearbook, 1992
