Shao, Taichong, 1992, The Observations from the Camellia World, No.260, pp.6, 72: A seedling raised in the USA by Ken Hallstone, California, and named in his honour by the Chinese Camellia Society. This cultivar has fimbriated petals. A seedling of Gwenneth Morey and pollen parent Kona. The cultivar has some yellowish colour and is a large peony form white with red streaks and dashes. Vigorous, spreading growth. As this cultivar had not been named it was given the name of the originator.
