Itō, Ihei, 1695, Kadan Chikinshō No.130: Formal double. The corolla is red with white spots. The apex of the corolla is sharp. Small. Yashiro, 1841, Kokon Yōrankō, vol.306. Originated in Japan. See Nakamura, 1982, JCS., Tsubaki, No.21, p.86. Different reading: ‘Hayahune’. (Believed extinct.)
