ACS, The Camellia Journal, Nov.1999, p.19, Reg. No.2503. A peony, occasionally rose form double, chance seedling. Rose red flowers, with bright yellow anthers and white filaments. 38 petals. Originated by Miles A. Beach, Mt. Pleasant, S.C., USA. American Camellia Yearbook, 1999, p.4, colour photo before p.1. Flowers mid-season to late. The 10 year old seedling first flowered in 1993. Average flower size is 11.5 cm across x 5 cm deep. Heavy petal texture. Plant growth is open and average, with dark green leaves 9.5 cm long x 5 cm wide.
