American Camellia Yearbook, 1960, p.199, Reg. No.505: A 20 year old chance seedling originated by Arthur W. Solomon, Savannah, Georgia, USA, which first flowered 1950. Plant growth upright, strong and dense with dark green leaves, 10.5 cm x 5 cm. The for­mal double white, imbricated flowers, similar to C.M. Hovey, are 9-10 cm across x 5.5 cm deep with 65-85 petals, on 5-6 of which, at the point, is a pink pencil stripe. Blooms mid-season.
