New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, 1975, vol.IX, No.1, p.28, Reg. No.98: hybrid C.saluenesis x C.japonica Daikagura, which first flowered 1957. Spreading, open growth with light green foliage, 9 cm x 4.5 cm. The flowers are semi-double to peony form, an outer row of waved petals and numerous rabbit eared petaloids; colour deep pink, size 12 cm across x 9 cm deep, anthers yellow, filaments white. Flowers mid-season to late.
