» English Description

Minagawa, 1959, Chinkashū, on section on new vari­eties: Pale pink, semi-double. Medium size. Tuyama, 1966, Camellia Cultivars of Japan, pl.91 shows a Camellia almost white. Yokayama 1975, Gendai Tsubaki Meikan, p.120 gives the colour as “faint pink” and the bloom illustrated is a medium size semi-double. A seedling of Chō-no-hanagata. Resembles ‘Toki-no-hagoromo’. There is still another camellia of this name that is a red peony form.

文化出版局. 1975. 《現代椿名鑑》. P120. 関東. []鴇色、割蕊、八重咲き、中輪、4月。[]やや小型の卵形で、鋸歯は浅く、葉面は主脈に沿ってわずかにくぼむ。黄緑色 []立性、強健でよく伸長する。花付きは少ない。結実する [来歴]昭和34年、皆川「椿花集」の新花の部にあらわれた品種で蝶の花形の実生から、選抜されたといわれる。 文/仲村
