First publishing in Camelia 17: 37, tha magazine of the Sociedad Española de la Camelia, in 2010, with colour photos. A sport of C. japonica 'Eugenia de Montijo', first flowered in 2000. Originated by Maria Otero del Rio, A Coruña, Spain. FLOWER: double to rose form, red color (53C, RHSCC) with a fine white margin in each petal; 50-70 petals, and centre with 20-200 petaloids; occasional stamens, only visible when the flower is fully open. LEAF: mid-green (RHSCC 138C), elliptic to ovate, 9.5 cm long and 4.5-5 cm wide. PLANT: bushy and dense habit and medium rate growth. Blooming period early to late.
