Matsushima (Kasuya)

Kasuya, Kamegorō, 1859, Tsubaki Irohanayose Irotsuki: White single, with red spots, large size, occasionally deformed; stamens widely spread like a bamboo whisk. Note: This is similar to the existing Matsushima but it is not certain that they are the same, as the modern one is said to be recently produced in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. A place name. One of the three famous scenic points of Japan.
