American Camellia Yearbook, 1956, p.64, Reg. No.250: An 8 year old chance seedling, originated by Mrs B.J.Welp Jr., Jacksonville, Florida, USA, that first flowered 1954. Plant growth is rapid, dense and upright with mid-green leaves, 11 cm long x 5 cm wide, acuminate and heavily veined. The neyron pink to rose-pink blooms are incomplete double with 30 petals and a few petaloids, 13-15 cm across x 6-7 cm deep. Early flowering. Sport: Nellie McGrath Variegated.
