Pandeng (C. japonica) Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.538. HD-23-4.A chance seedling SDL-No.3 selected from C. japonica cutivar 'Shidalin'. Flowers deep pink with lightly purple hue, occasionally a few small white markings visible, rose-double to formal- double form, small size, 6.5-7.5cm across and 4.0cm deep with more than 50 petals arranged helically in over 10 rows, exterior petals turned outward, bloom dense. Leaves green, leathery, elliptic, margins densely and finely serrate. Plant compact, upright and growth vigorous. Blooms from winter to the spring of following year. The cultivar name means “Climbing”.

攀登 Camellia japonica ‘Pandeng’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第538页。 HD-23-4.第一部书中本组曾介绍过3个品种（见第一部书第549〜552页），其编号接续第一部书。本品种选自红山茶品种‘石达琳’的机遇苗SDL-No.3。花朵深粉红色，泛淡紫色调，偶有少量小白斑，玫瑰重瓣型至完全重瓣型，小型花，花径6.5-7.5cm，花朵厚4.0cm,花瓣50枚以上，呈10轮以上螺旋状排列，外部花瓣外翻，开花稠密。叶片绿色，革质，椭圆形，边缘叶齿细密。植株紧凑，立性，生长旺盛。冬季至翌年春季开花。
