Qiufeng Songxia(2023)

Qiufeng Songxia (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiafeng Relang'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.228. HAR-02-3., a cross seedling (DXFRL-No.4) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiafeng Relang'. Flowers red, occasionally with marbled white markings, as flowers opening, central petals gradually change into light red, formal double form, medium size, 8.0-10.0cm across and 5.0cm deep with over 70 imbricate petals arranged in 10-15 rows. The phenomenon of multiple flower cores is common, sometimes petals arranged in a hexagon in cool season, petals fall one by one. Leaves dark green, leathery, elliptic, cuneate at the base, margins thinly serrate. Plant compact, bushy, branches dense and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Autumn Breeze Blowing Rosy Clouds”.

秋风送霞 Camellia ‘Qiufeng Songxia’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第228页。 HAR-02-3.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶×杜鹃红山茶F1代新品种‘夏日热浪’，杂交苗编号：DXFRL-No.4。花朵红色，偶有大理石白斑，随着花朵开放，中部花瓣花色逐渐变为淡红色，完全重瓣型，中型花，花径8.0-10.0cm，花朵厚5.0cm，花瓣70枚以上，呈10-15轮覆瓦状排列，常见多花芯现象，在冷凉季节，有时呈六角形排列，花瓣逐片掉落。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，革质，椭圆形，长7.5-8.5cm，宽2.5-4.0cm，基部楔形，叶缘具细齿，叶尖渐尖。植株紧凑，矮灌状，枝叶稠密，生长旺盛。夏初始花，秋、冬季盛花，春季零星开花。
