SCCS., 1951, The Camellia. Its Culture and Nomenclature: Red. Medium size, rose form double. Vigorous, open, upright growth. Mid-season flowering. Originated by Mrs R.B. Travis, Savannah, Georgia, USA. American Camellia Yearbook, 1954, Reg. No.62. p 330: Date of application-February 7, 1950. A 4-yearold seedling of unknown parentage grown by Mrs. Robert J. Travis of Savannah, Georgia, that first flowered in 1948-49. Plant growth rapid, open and upright. Flowers 3 inches in diameter, complete double, incomplete imbricated. Flower color red (5 x 6 Fishers). Flowering season January and February.
