Siji Heyun

Siji Heyun (C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiari Hongjuan'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.386. HAR-22-3., a cross seedling (DHJ-No.12) of C. azalea × C. azalea F1 new hybrid 'Xiari Hongjuan'. Flowers deep pink to light red, single form, small to medium size, 7.0-8.5cm across with 5-6 petals, petals broad obovate, turned outward or wavy, stamens united at the base, bloom dense. Leaves dark green, leathery, elliptic, cuneate at the base, margins smooth. Plant upright and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from early-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “The Rhyme Conforming Four Seasons”.
