Originated by Guy Andro, Plouarzel, France and propagated by Stervinou nurseries, Milizac-Guipronvel, France. Seedling of unkown parentage, first flowering in 1992. Plant: bushy compact, growth rate medium. Flower bud: elliptic and narrow. Flower: small, 7 x 6 cm, strong purplish red (RHS2015 58B), semi-double, tulip form, fluted petals, narrow columnar stamens with reddish filaments. Leaf: small, elliptic, 7 x 6 cm with serrulate margin, dark green. Other data: The name "Iroise" refers to the name of the ocean near the garden.
