Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1980, Senchinshū, p.90, colour photo, p.228, description: Medium size, semi-double pale pink, peppered and dashed crimson, opening wide, cup-shaped; petals in 3 rows, emarginate; central stamen column, anthers yel­low, filaments light cream. Leaves shiny mid-green, ovate, twisted, acuminate apex, margins serrate. Originated in Kantō area, Japan. A seedling of Juraku. Nippon Tsubaki - Sasanqua Meikan, 1998, p.162 with colour photo; English translation p.111. Stated to throw sports of various colour combinations. Stated to be a chance seedling of Hototogisu, named and released by Totsurō Nakamura in 1979.
