Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, vol.I, 1972, pl.56, p.56, description, p.298: Very pale, almost white, apricot pink, single with 6-7, large, round, overlapping, emarginate petals opening cup-shaped. Stamens in a spreading, Higo-like group, anthers yellow, filaments light cream. Leaves mid-green, lanceolate, edges rolled under, serrate, apex short acuminate, strongly twisted. Originated in Kansai area, Japan. Named and released by Katayama Juraku-en Nursery. Different readings: ‘Usukoromo’, ‘Usugoromo’.
