Wanjia Denghuo

Wanjia Denghuo (C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.46. HA-10-16., a cross seedling (DDA-No.25) of C. azalea × C. japonica  'Mary Agnes Patin'. Flowers peach red to red, single form, small to medium size, 7.0-8.0cm across with 5-6 petals, most of the flowers are semi-opened in summer, but the flowers open normally in autumn, stamens united at the base, bloom very dense. Leaves dark green, leathery, long elliptic, margins obtusely serrate. Plant spread, branches dense and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Myriad Families' Lights”.

万家灯火 Camellia ‘Wanjia Denghuo’ 。刘信凯、钟乃盛、柯欢、武艳芳主编，2023，《第二部四季茶花杂交新品种彩色图集》，浙江科学技术出版社，第46页。 HA-10-16.杂交组合：杜鹃红山茶 x 红山茶品种‘达婷 ’，杂交苗编号：DDA-No.25。花朵桃红色至红色，单瓣型，小型至中型花，花径7.0-8.0cm，花瓣5-6枚，夏季多呈半开放状态，但秋季花朵开放正常，雄蕊基部略连生，开花稠密。叶片浓绿色，叶背面灰绿色，革质，长椭圆形，长9.5-10.0cm，宽3.5-4.0cm,叶缘具钝齿。植株开张，枝条稠密，生长旺盛。夏末始花，秋、冬季盛花，翌年春季零星开花。
