Leaves 8-9 cm long and 4.5 cm wide; leaf apex acuminate and slightly downwardly curved. The leaf surface dark green; Main lateral veins obvious; Leaf margins curled and shallow serrations. Petiole 0.8 cm long. Flower diameter 6-7 cm, dark pink, 5-6 round petals, 30-40 pieces, and pentagonal bell mouth shape. Flowering from January to March. From Fujian Province China.

张永和等1985《永福茶花》，7页。灌木，树势直立向上，芽多，分枝粗。叶长8-9厘米，宽4.5厘米；先端渐尖，微下曲；基部阔楔形；呈椭圆形。叶面暗绿色，油亮；主侧脉明显；叶缘卷曲，锯齿浅钝；叶柄0.8厘米。花径6-7厘米，深桃红色，花瓣5-6轮，30-40片，成五角喇叭口状。花期1-3月。
