Xiannü Xiafan

Xiannü Xiafan (C. azalea × C. japonica 'Dixie Knight Supreme'). Liu Xinkai et al. 2023, Illustrations of the New Camellia Hybrids that Bloom Year-round, Zhejiang Science and Technology Publishing House, p.32. HA-05-4., a cross seedling (DCN-No.10) of C. azalea × C. japonica 'Dixie Knight Supreme'. Flowers peach red at the upper part of outside petals and fading to pink-white at both the center and the base, rose-double form, miniature to small size, 5.5-7.0cm across and 4.5cm deep with 18-21 petals arranged orderly in 3-4 rows, bloom dense. Leaves dark-green, leathery, elliptic, margins sparsely serrate. Plant compact and growth vigorous. Starts to bloom from late-summer, fully blooms from autumn to winter and sporadically in spring. The cultivar name means “Fairy from Sky Down to the Earth”.
